We will work to get all of the older age groups (18’s and 17’s)  to play in the PM Wave (which will begin at 2pm) to accommodate those players to be able to take the ACT Test that morning

Teams are guaranteed 5 matches throughout the tournament (3 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday in MOST cases).  The tournament is formatted so that all 5 of these guaranteed matches actually count (i.e. no “consolation” matches).  Our standard format is pool play on Saturday, then a crossover match first thing Sunday.  The winners of the crossover match go to Gold, the losers go to Silver. The crossover matches TYPICALLY pair 1st place vs. 4th place teams from Saturday and 2nd place vs. 3rd place teams from Saturday.  Please keep in mind that if a division ends up with an odd number, this format may need to be adjusted slightly.

The latest matches will be scheduled to start on Sunday is 5pm. Please remember that matches can start later than their scheduled time if the court gets behind schedule due to previous matches running late (i.e. going to a 3rd set).  Our referee’s do everything in their power to keep the matches moving quickly and on schedule.  In most cases the previous losing team will have to stay and referee…if a BVC team is at your gym and the final match does not involve them (or another BVC team), then BVC as your host club will take that referee responsibility for that team.
